Florida Seeking Assistant Coaches

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida Men’s Lacrosse is seeking a qualified assistant coach for the 2018-2019 season.

The Gators compete in MCLA Division I as members of the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference. Over the last two seasons, the program has returned to national prominence within the association, amassing a regular season record of 21-6 in that span and cracking the MCLA Coaches’ Poll Top 25 for the first time since 2011.

They are seeking staff additions that will help them build upon this success as they aim to qualify for the 2019 MCLA National Championship powered by Under Armour in Salt Lake City.

Position Summary
Candidates shall be available to participate in all team practices and games during both the fall and spring seasons. The fall season runs from September 1-November 16. The spring season runs from January 4-May 17. Accommodations for absences due to other employment obligations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Preferred Qualifications
• Playing experience at the collegiate level or elite high school level. Faceoff experience a plus.
• Coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level

Compensation
The position comes with a monthly stipend over the course of 8 months (Sept.-April). Minimum monthly stipend value will be $500 with increases available based on qualifications and time-commitment. A signing bonus will also be offered.
