ATLANTA – He helped the Aggies pull a Top 10 upset this weekend and for his efforts, Utah State senior backstop Berklee Baskin is Pearl’s MCLA Division II Goalie of the Week for the period ending March 10.

With No. 7 Montana State in town looking to keep its dominance of the RMLC in place, the Kaysville, Utah, product made 18 saves (62.1 sv%) as the Aggies stunned the Bobcats, 12-11.

Combined with a divisional win over Northern Colorado earlier in the week in which Baskin made 12 saves, Utah State is now 2-0 in the RMLC Northwest division and has guaranteed itself a spot in the conference tournament.

“Berklee was huge for us against Montana State,” said Utah State coach Scott Bingham. “He directed our defense against a loaded attack and made some big stops, particularly in the fourth quarter. He kept us close enough to strike and the game wouldn't have gone the same without him.”

For his efforts in earning the Pearl’s Performance of the Week, Baskin will receive a prize package from Guardian Pearl, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian Pearl is the proud partner of the MCLA.
