NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Tulane men's lacrosse program has opened a search for a new head coach.

Tulane is a member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and the Lone Star Alliance (LSA). The team is a student-led University Recreation-sponsored program at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Tulane’s team competes at a high level, with a large portion of the student population coming from the northeast. The team enjoys support from the University with access to Yulman Stadium (the university’s football stadium), staff for game days and a strong base of alumni.

Tulane is looking to take a large step forward in the coming years and take advantage of the large number of talented players who attend the school. The new head coach would be expected to assist in this transformation of the program.

On-field management requires a fundamental knowledge and ability to run a lacrosse team successfully. Candidates must be able to teach, manage, and run a proper offense and defense.

Furthermore, the head coach must be able to analyze and develop players to best help the team, as well as provide leadership and basic game-planning for matchups during the season. This includes formulating and executing practice plans for the Fall and Spring seasons.

The Tulane lacrosse program hopes to uphold their tradition of excellence and success, and we as a team wish to build upon what our previous coaches and team has established.

The head coach is considered an independent contractor of the club. Therefore, compensation will be determined by the Tulane lacrosse board based on education, experience and qualifications. The head coach must be available for the team’s two practices a week and be able to travel with the team for away games on weekends.

Applications and questions should be directed to our team president Oliver Crookenden.
