DALLAS – Thanks to an overtime strike, Texas is the 2023 Lone Star Alliance (LSA) Division I champion, defeating Southern Methodist, 11-10 in extra time.

With the victory, Texas (10-2) earns an automatic qualifying berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will take place from May 8-13 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex. Tickets and live streaming for nationals can be purchased HERE.

In a back-and-forth game, Southern Methodist (12-5) had a chance to win it near the end of regulation, but the shot wouldn’t fall. The Longhorns waited little time before notching the game-winner.

It’s the first LSA title for Texas since 2014, when they made their last visit to nationals.
