PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The Stanford men’s lacrosse program has released its 2018 schedule. The upcoming season will feature eight home contests, four games against 2017 MCLA tournament teams, and eight games against teams that were ranked in the final 2017 MCLA Top 25 Coaches Poll.

“We’ve worked hard to put together the toughest possible schedule for our team,” said Stanford coach Brian Karalunas. “We pride ourselves on constant improvement and that requires playing opponents that will challenge us every time we take the field.”

The Cardinal will open the season at UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 3 before hosting Texas on Feb. 11. Stanford travels to UCLA on President’s Day weekend to compete in the Pac-12 Shootout against Oregon and Washington.

Stanford closes out the month of February by hosting BYU and then kicks off its WCLL schedule on the road against Dominican.

The Cardinal completes its March slate with games against Florida, Sonoma State, Oregon State, Cal Poly and Chico State before finishing regular season action against WCLL opponents Nevada, Santa Clara and California.

Stanford will play 14 regular season games prior to the WCLL tournament, which will take place on the weekend of April 28-29.

The 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour will be held in Salt Lake City from May 7-12.
