SNC, UC Davis Lead WCLL-II Awards

NOVATO, Calif. – They met in the championship game of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) tournament. Now both Sierra Nevada and UC Davis are well-represented in the conference awards list, which was released recently.

Sierra Nevada, which breezed to the championships with an 18-3 victory over the Aggies, placed five players on the first team All-WCLL squad while junior long-stick middie Jack Witt was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

UC Davis also placed five players on the first team, including senior midfielder Chase Hildeburn, who was named the Offensive Player of the Year. Frank Resetarits was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Aggies to the finals.

Humboldt State, Nevada, San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz also placed a player on the all-conference first team.
