LAGRANGE, Ala. – Callaway Stadium on the campus of LaGrange College will be the site of the first-round matchups of the 2023 SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) Division I tournament, which begins on Saturday, April 15.

The opening first-round contest features the third seed out of the North subdivision, South Carolina (5-8), going up against the second seed out of the South, Auburn (8-6).

The Gamecocks are the defending SELC champion, but will have to overcome an ascendant Tigers outfit with big plans. The winner will face North top-seed Georgia (12-1) in the semifinals, which will take place in Jacksonville, Fla., at the Bolles School.

On the other side of the bracket, South third seed Florida State (10-4) will clash with North second seed Georgia Tech (11-3) in LaGrange.

The Seminoles raced out to a 10-0 start to the season, including a win over No. 5 Boston College, but have lost four straight entering the postseason. The Yellow Jackets started 8-0 before losing three of their next four, but have since righted the ship with a pair of ranked wins in Utah.

The winner runs up against South top seed Florida (12-1) in Jacksonville.

Admission is free for the general public at the Callaway Stadium contests and streaming is unlikely. Details for the Jacksonville semifinals and finals, along with Division II information, will be released next week.
