DALLAS – After winning four-straight conference championships, Missouri State was unanimously voted as the favorite to capture its fifth Lone Star Alliance (LSA) crown, according to the preseason coaches poll.

The Bears (10-3) swept all 10 first-place votes to cruise to the top spot. Missouri State made its fifth-consecutive trip to the MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance in 2023.

Checking in at No. 2 is Tulane (6-3). The Green Wave fell to Baylor in the LSA semifinals, but Baylor has moved to LSA Division I for the 2024 season. UT-San Antonio (7-5) is slotted third. The Roadrunners fell to MoState in the conference semis.

Rounding out the top four is Washington (Mo.) (3-4). The Bears edged out Texas A&M D-II (4-8) by four points.

"Competition is getting stronger by the year in every conference, so It’s a huge honor to have the other coaches within the LSA put us at the top again," said Missouri State coach Donnie Curran. "We are anxious to get started and hopefully earn another LSA title."
