DENVER – Montana State has been installed as the favorite in Division II of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC), according to the preseason coaches poll.

The Bobcats, who last visited the MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance in 2018, sit comfortably in the first chair, nine points clear of the field. Montana State grabbed three first-place votes.

Utah State also snagged three first-place votes, slotting them second in the poll.

Utah, a “new” member of the MCLA this spring, follows 10 points behind Utah State. The Utes have a pair of first-place votes. Air Force – another new addition – rounds out the top four.

Colorado Denver was awarded the final first-place vote, helping the Lynx settle in the fifth spot.

MSU Denver, Wyoming, Colorado Mines and Fort Lewis round out the poll.

The winner of the RMLC Division II tournament will earn an automatic qualifying berth to the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balanance, which will be held at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex from May 9-14.
