ROUND ROCK, Texas -- A line of thunderstorms rolled into the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex at the conclusion of the first session of games at the 2025 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, forcing a delay in the start of the next session.

At the earliest, we're looking at a 2:30 p.m. start to the next session, but that could be pushed back if there continues to be lightning strikes in the area. Please check back for updates and changes to the remaining schedule today.

UPDATE (3:24 p.m.): It's coming down pretty hard, but no lightning, so we're good to go for session two.

UPDATE (2:52 p.m.): The City of Round Rock overruled the decision and we are back on for 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. for the second session.

UPDATE (2:32 p.m.): We're back on lightning delay. Games won't start until after 4 p.m. now.

UPDATE (2:14 p.m.): The tournament will resume at 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. The first two games will feature the Nos. 8-9 seeds: Florida State v. Arizona State and UNC-Charlotte v. Utah State. The later two games will be No. 10 North Dakota State v. No. 7 Montana State and No. 10 UC Santa Barbara v. No. 7 Northeastern.

UPDATE: Another recent strike has reset the clock. Once the weather has cleared, teams will have 45 minutes once returning to the park (which is currently closed) and then the second session will resume. The third and fourth sessions will be rescheduled as the evening continues.

We will do everything to get the games in tonight, as Tuesday looks like it could be a rough weather day, as well.
