ATLANTA – In a change from years past, the weekly 2016 Under Armour MCLA Coaches Poll will be released on Wednesday this spring, according to Director of Competition Gary Podesta. Previously, the poll was released on Tuesdays.
The move has been made in an effort to streamline the process for the 30 voters in each division.
“For the past few years, many of the pollsters have requested to push back the day when the completed poll ballots are due because it was difficult with weekend games and team travel for them to access a computer on the road and complete the ballots,” said Podesta.
When completed, the poll will be posted on MCLA.us and distributed to the national and local media.
The preseason version of the Under Armour MCLA Coaches Poll will come out on Wednesday, Jan. 27. The first poll of the regular season will be released on Feb. 17 and continue through April 20.
The final poll of the season will come on May 25 after the conclusion of the MCLA National Tournament powered by Under Armour, which takes place from May 9-14 in Irvine and Orange, Calif.
