ROUND ROCK, Texas – Due to a massive storm system expected to bring as much as six inches of rain to the Round Rock area on Saturday, the MCLA – in cooperation with the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex – is moving the two championship games of the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance to Friday evening.
The Division II game will start at 4 p.m. followed by the Division I championship at 7 p.m. Tickets purchased for Saturday’s game will be honored and the games will still be live-streamed for free.
“There is a very real chance that we would not be able to finish our championships if we stayed with the original schedule, so we had to act swiftly,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “It’s obviously not optimum for our championship teams, but the other option is worse.”
