La.-Lafayette Leads LSA D-II Honor Roll

SAN ANTONIO – After powering its way to the Lone Star Alliance Division II championship, La.-Lafayette was rewarded with numerous postseason honors. The Ragin’ Cajuns finished the season with a 12-4 record, including a six-game winning streak to end the season.

La.-Lafayette placed three players on the first team All-LSA squad, while also picking up three prominent individual honors. Senior pole Eric Giesemann was named Defensive Player of the Year, freshman middie Tanner Shaddox was tabbed Rookie of the Year and Jefferson Nichol earned Coach of the Year.

UT-Dallas was also well represented. The Comets had three players on the all-conference first team, including sophomore attackman Zain Rehman, who was named the Offensive Player of the Year.

In addition, Oklahoma State had three players on the first team and St. Gregory’s had two while both Sam Houston State and Tulsa had one apiece.
