WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Utah attackman Luke Graney used a series of dodges and then a pass fake to get a look at the USC net in double overtime and delivered the game-winner to lift the Utes, 7-6, over the Trojans on Thursday evening. To see Graney's clincher, check it out on Instagram HERE.
It looked like the Utes (1-0) might take care of business in regulation as they held a 6-4 lead in the defensive grinder with under a minute to play. USC (1-1) countered with a pair of markers in the final 30 seconds -- including one with just seconds left -- to send the game into overtime. After a scoreless extra frame, Graney finally put it away for Utah.
Both Utah and USC will have Friday off before getting back into action at the ninth annual Pac-12 Shootout hosted by UCLA.
