Field Set for PNCLL-II Tourney

SEATTLE – The six teams participating in the 2018 Pacific Northwest College Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Division II Tournament have been selected and will start the process of determining a champion this Friday in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Montana (11-3, 5-0 PNCLL North) and College of Idaho (8-2, 5-0 PNCLL South) earned the top seed in their respective division, giving them a bye into the semifinals on Saturday.

2018 PNCLL DIVISION II TOURNAMENT BRACKET

In the first semifinal on Friday at 1 p.m., No. 2S Portland State (5-4, 3-2) will clash with No. 3N Western Washington (7-4, 3-2). The winner will faceoff against Montana in the semis.

In the nightcap, No. 2N Providence (5-8, 4-1) tackles No. 3S Portland (6-6, 3-2). The winner meets College of Idaho on Saturday.

Sunday’s conference champion will earn an automatic qualifying berth to the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which takes place in Salt Lake City from May 7-12.

“There are quality teams up and down this bracket,” said PNCLL director Jason Stockton. “All of these games will be entertaining for everyone in attendance.”

Admission to the 2018 PNCLL Division I Tournament is $7 for adults and $3 for children.

2018 PNCLL Division II Tournament

First Round – Hazelia Sports Field – April 27
GAME 1: No. 3N Western Washington vs. No. 2S Portland State, 1 p.m.
GAME 2: No. 3S Portland vs. No. 2N Providence, 4 p.m.

Semifinals – Lake Oswego H.S. – April 28
GAME 1 winner vs. No. 1N Montana, 10 a.m.
GAME 2 winner vs. No. 1S College of Idaho, 1 p.m.

Finals – Lake Oswego H.S. – April 29
Semifinal winners, 11 a.m.
