ATLANTA – Kennesaw State remains the top team in the New Balance MCLA Division II Weekly Coaches Poll, but the College of Idaho continues to close the gap, with just eight points separating the two programs.
The Owls (8-0), who were awarded 15 first-place votes, have completed their season and await No. 16 Florida Atlantic (9-3) in the first round of the SELC tournament in Jacksonville.
The Yotes (8-0), who grabbed nine top votes, cap off their regular season campaign in two weeks against No. 24 Northwest Nazarene (5-2).
Despite losing to No. 15 Minn.-Duluth (4-6), St. Thomas (10-3) managed to remain in the third spot with a first-place vote followed by Rhode Island (7-1).
Grand Valley State (8-2) broke into the Top 5 this week, leapfrogging No. 6 Dayton (6-3).
There were no new additions to the poll this week.
