FORT MYERS, Fla. – It’s a south Florida showdown as Florida Atlantic makes the two-and-a-half hour trip along Route 75 to Florida Gulf Coast’s slice of heaven in Fort Myers.

This two squads are quite familiar with each other as they both inhabit the SELC-II Coastal subdivision.

Alas, it would be tough to call this a rivalry, per se. Since their arrival in the MCLA in 2015, Florida Atlantic has never defeated FGCU and will tote an 0-5 career mark against the Eagles into this virtual tilt.

It may not matter, however.

The Owls boast a student body twice the size of Florida Gulf Coast, which can make a big difference in the Twitter wars.

No. 19 Florida Atlantic has muscled up to knock off Utah State, Minn.-Duluth and Rice to reach this point.

No. 15 Florida Gulf Coast has taken out Cal State San Marcos, Grand Valley State and San Diego to earn a final four bid.

One team from Florida is going to the big show. Who has the Twitter hammer?
