ATLANTA – By nearly a unanimous vote, Virginia Tech has remained in the top spot of the New Balance MCLA Division I Weekly Coaches Poll.

The Hokies (12-1), who were idle this week in preparation for the ALC semifinals against Pittsburgh (9-5), grabbed 25 of the 26 first-place votes cast this week.

Virginia Tech is comfortably ahead of No. 2 Concordia-Irvine. The Eagles commence the SLC tournament this weekend when they square off with No. 15t Grand Canyon (6-5) in one semifinal.

Fresh off its RMLC championship, Brigham Young (15-2) sits in the third spot.

South Carolina (13-3), which rolled to the SELC title, jumped from five spots this week to sit in the fourth chair while grabbing the remaining first-place vote.

No. 5 Liberty (10-3) starts the ALC tourney with a semifinal date against No. 7 Clemson.
