ATLANTA - After winning its first national championship and the first-ever title for the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC), South Carolina is the unanimous No. 1 team in the final Under Armour MCLA Weekly Coaches Poll, which was released on Wednesday.

The Gamecocks (21-2) swept all 18 of the first place votes to keep them 20 points clear of No. 2 California (17-1). Using the final poll, South Carolina beat the No. 18 (Santa Clara), No. 5 (Liberty), No. 3 (Chapman) and No. 2 (Cal) teams to raise the trophy.

Chapman (17-3) edged out Georgia Tech (18-2) for the No. 3 position while Liberty (16-2) rounded out the Top 5.

Northeastern (6-8) fell out of the final poll to make way for PNCLL champion Oregon (8-5) at No. 25.
