Cal Poly Grabs WCLL AQ

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Holding off several second-half charges by California, Cal Poly took home the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) Division I championship, 12-11, on the campus of Dominican.

With the victory, the Mustangs (8-7) guarantee themselves in the 16-team field for the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be held in Round Rock, Texas, from May 9-14.

California (12-4) will enter the at-large pool for nationals, which will be released this evening.

NATIONALS TICKETS & STREAMS

After grabbing the lead with eight minutes remaining in the first quarter, Cal Poly would not let it go, seemingly always coming up with a clutch goal or stop.
