ALC Discloses Tournament Details

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC) remains at Lynchburg City Stadium for the 2023 conference tournament, which will be held on April 28-29.

Each ALC division winner will receive an automatic berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be held at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex from May 8-13.

BRACKETS: DIVISION I | DIVISION II

The weekend will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the first Division II semifinal featuring North top seed UNC-Charlotte (8-2) clashing with South second seed Citadel (3-5). The two met on April 7 with the 49ers posting a 25-9 win thanks to four goals and two assists from Tyler Nichols.

The second D-II semifinal features South top seed Coastal Carolina (7-3) matchup with North second seed Wake Forest (10-2) at 12:30 p.m. The Demon Deacons took the regular season contest on March 26, 10-5, bolstered by three points from Luke Valentino.

The first Division I semifinals includes North top dog Liberty (12-2) squaring off with South second seed Tennessee (9-5) at 3 p.m. They did not meet during the regular season.

Capping off the evening at 5:30 p.m. will be Virginia Tech (12-2), the top seed in the South, playing North second seed Temple (9-5). This will also be the first meeting this spring between the two outfits.

“Congratulations to all the teams that made the ALC tournament this year,” said ALC director Kyle McQuillan. “Thank you to the City of Lynchburg and Max & Dexter Event Design for hosting our event.

“We are excited to welcome two new teams in Division I – Temple and Tennessee – In their first ever ALC Final Four. The ALC was extremely competitive throughout the year and we expect this weekend to be no different. Good luck to everyone participating. It will be a great weekend of lacrosse.

Admission is $12 a day with a weekend pass going for $22. One day VIP passes are $30 and a weekend VIP pass is $50 (supplies limited).

All six of the games over the weekend will be streamed via watchlacrossetv.com free of charge.
